Works at a basic level but can't get any additional extensions or widgets to work
At the most basic level, this integrates a wordpress blog well into a magento store quite well. However the developer claims that a set of wordpress add-ons should work and they don't seem to.
I have tried multiple versions of Share This to add social bookmarks, but they don't ever show up. I've also added a simple widget called Proper Widgets in order to place a links widget in the side bar, but again that never shows. Something about the integration seems to block any addons or widgets that don't come with the default wordpress install.
If you just want a basic blog, it will work. If you want to customize something that doesn't come in the box stock install of wordpress, don't try full integration.

Dont know why its popular
I have tried this extension and had to uninstall this.
My store was messed up for some reason. I didnt contact support though coz on the first installation it freaked me out. I will be careful whenever using extensions like this.

WPMU + Buddpress
Unforturinetly for me, this didn't hold up to what was needed. If you have a WPMU install with buddpress, and it's the root of the site, and Magento is a subdomain, under a subdirectory, then you have no way to use this right.
It's good in theorie for simple sites, but where you have two robust installs , WPMU + Buddypress and Magento, it fails. I was really hoping to get to use the theme and save me some work here.
Maybe this type of set up will be supported later but for now it fall short of accounting for it. I hope that later I can see that for the blog route I'll be able to use domain.tld where the magento is store.domain.tld, so simple putting blog for a router is SEO unwise and not viable.

Ben talked me through all of my questions and I had a lot of them because I am very new to this. Great extension. Works perfectly.

Doenst work with Plugins
Well I installed your Magento WordPress module and it doesn't work as stated :(
"The extension also supports a large selection of WordPress plugins for free and others with add-on extensions. Out of the box you can configure your blog's SEO using WordPress Yoast SEO, use Yarpp to display related posts, ShareThis to display social icons and many other valuable WordPress plugins."
It doesn't work at all with Yoast SEO which is a must and definitely doesn't work with any caching plugins namely W£ Total Cache..
extremely disappointed. Is there a fix??

Wordpress giving 404 error.
For the passed week since i have successfully integrated WP and Magento together. And Everything was fine till right now.
All of a sudden my auto login doesn't seem to be working any more and i cannot access the wp-admin account directly either. www.domain.com/wp/wp-admin/options.php
The first time this happened i re-installed wordpress and it was back to normal.
The second time this happened i renamed my .htaccess file to .htaccess.sample and it worked fine.
But now i feel the issue is something else.
Ive also noticed my Magento Connect Manager is giving me the same issue. www.domain.com/downloader/
Note: Magento is pulling to blog from the database to the frontend. So this section is fine.
Any one expereince this issue before? or have any suggestions that i could try?
Note: I have a feeling sumthing is going wrong with my re-writes or .htaccess is cancelling out access to the those links.

invalid block type error
After succesfully installing and setting the extension everything looks great in the backend. But on teh frontend magento webshop pages do not load completely. The blog front end works fine though. I am getting this error message in the log files: ERR (3): exception 'Mage_Core_Exception' with message 'Invalid bloktype: Mage_Wordpress_Block_Post_List_Recent' in /domains/cliphair.nl/public_html/app/Mage.php:594
I checked everything, reinstalled the extension but still same error.

Amazing - from a seasoned WordPress dev
I have been working with WordPress for several years and only recently started using Magento for proper full functioning e-commerce sites and found this WordPress Extension by Ben (from http://fishpig.co.uk/) and can't recommend this highly enough!
Who's this extension for?
If you want to get a new or existing WordPress set up running and most importantly integrated within Magento so you can pull blog posts into Magento easily, auto link to blog posts from within Magento categories / products.
Also just to reiterate, Ben's support is first class and that's even for this free extension.

Great Module / Great Developer
I've used this module a couple of times, and it's great. The integration between Magento and Wordpress is seamless and highly usable. Being able to associate products to posts, and posts to products, is a huge plus.
The developer is also great to work with. I emailed a request for a small feature enhancement, and it was actually in the code the next day!
I highly recommend this module, and the developer as well!

A bit tricky but easy to figure out with included instructions. Customizing and adding additional wordpress plugins another story. Still toying with capabilities but enjoy this plugin.
