Absolute delighted with this extension! Hello I am running a multilingual store (community version) I did set up the first WordPress integration as a single store myself and following Bens excellent tutorial I had no Problems doing so. I did however had problems with the Multistore extension doing it myself, since I am relatively new to Magento as well as WordPress that came as no surprise. I opted for the installation service and Ben did a excellent job, not only did he install the integration but also put a working blog for each of the languages I am using in the store as well as fixing all .htaccess and RSS related Problems (which I caused myself) Being a professional (System Administrator) since the beginnings of computers (Yup I am a Dinosaur) myself and am used to support I can only say that he surely belongs to the pleasant experiences I had. Be well!! September 27, 2013
I don't think I'd put this on a production server... I've watch the code and updates and tried at times was able to get working but it basically makes Wordpress useless. I say that because I've worked with WP forever and looked forward to a complete integration between Mage/WP. I'm still looking... so anyone with any hints please fill us all in. Was a lot of wasted time in something that seemed to do the job but it looks like a developer is injecting his own agenda into a platform in order to prosper. September 24, 2013

Super Support Amazing customer support!!! Emailed them a question within 5 minutes got a reply with a solution. Good job guys! July 4, 2013
Works at a basic level but can't get any additional extensions or widgets to work At the most basic level, this integrates a wordpress blog well into a magento store quite well. However the developer claims that a set of wordpress add-ons should work and they don't seem to. I have tried multiple versions of Share This to add social bookmarks, but they don't ever show up. I've also added a simple widget called Proper Widgets in order to place a links widget in the side bar, but again that never shows. Something about the integration seems to block any addons or widgets that don't come with the default wordpress install. If you just want a basic blog, it will work. If you want to customize something that doesn't come in the box stock install of wordpress, don't try full integration. July 3, 2013

Answer:
Go to magento admin panel, under CATALOG > URL REWRITE MANAGEMENT, simply add custom url rewrite.

On "request path" just add a slash "/" and at "target path" add your wordpress homepage url.

Answer:
To achieve this you should install the Root add-on:

http://fishpig.co.uk/magento/wordpress-integration/root/

This will allow you to remove the /blog/ from all of your blog URLs. It also includes the option to automatically replace your Magento homepage with the homepage of your integrated WordPress blog.

Our website utilizes your extension, and after updating our magento theme, the blog still uses our old theme.

Just wondering if there is a way to update or reimport the magento theme to reflect the changes we made.

Thanks!

Answer:
The integrated blog uses your Magento theme. If you update your Magento theme, these updates will be passed to the blog. If this isn't happening, this means that either things are being cached (try refreshing the cache) or that something isn't configured correctly.

Answer:
To disable comments you have 2 options:

1) Login to your WordPress Admin and select Settings > Discussion. From here you can disable comments globally.
2) Edit a post/page in the WordPress Admin and disable comments for the post/page. If the discussion section isn't displaying, click the 'Screen Options' tab at the top of the page and check the box next to 'Discussion'.

I also recommend upgrading the extension to the latest version.

Your Overview page says:
"Use your Magento theme for your WordPress blog"

I have Wordpress and the extension installed and all appears to be working well but it's still using the default WP theme. Where do I set it to use the Magento theme? I've read through all the documentation on your fishpig site and nowhere is this feature mentioned.

Thank you.

With the latest version of the extension, you can enable theme integration in the configuration area of the extension. This is enabled by default. If this isn't working, the extension isn't configured properly.

is this extension designed to use the WordPress pingback/trackback feature? We're using it and it's not working. Maybe there is a common mistake we did?

In wordpress you can define custom classes for each menu item, but these classes aren't passed on to the magento menu. Can you add this to the next update or how do I do so myself?
