Magento WordPress Integration 3.8 5 237 237
It works Just installed worpress 3.8. this works great, just as described. Thank you for this! December 16, 2013
Categories' links from Wordpress are never injected to display on magento. It seems the menus’ links from wordpress are never injected to Magento. In your source, it tries to inject links into the top navigation by the function ‘protected function _injectLinks($items, $parentNode)’ in file ‘./app/code/community/Fishpig/Wordpress/Model/Menu.php’. Actually, ‘$item->isItemActive()’ is always return a ‘False’ value. Since, it might be incorrect to determine whether the link is active or not by such a condition ‘return $currentUrl === $this->getUrl();’ in ./app/code/community/Fishpig/Wordpress/Model/Menu/Item.php, at line#190. This statement could never return a ‘True’ value. For example. Open the home url ‘http://www.example.com’, so the ‘$currentUrl’ is ‘http://www.example.com’. But, a url of menu item from Wordpress certainly is not as the same as the home’s url. December 8, 2013
Useless It's useless for me, Shows 404 error when trying to access wordpress settings tab... November 29, 2013
Brilliant I was looking for a way to blog properly with Magento, and had seen a couple of extensions, but these gave me concerns in terms of SEO. This extension shouldn't have any of these problems as it uses Worpress. In terms of using it, it is just fantastic, it installs very easily, and is very intuitive to use. Its real trump card is that it fits in so well with the styling of the site. NO extra css work was needed, just install wordpress in a sub directory of magento, install this extension, enter a few database details and you are ready to blog! A first rate extension, and it's free. Very well done to the developer it's great. November 22, 2013
Stellar support! Installed with minimal effort. One slight snag was sorted quick smart with an email to FishPig support. This extension does exactly what it says and is functional and logically thought out. November 11, 2013
Great Wordpress/Magento integrator! Great extension, I've installed WordPress first then installed the extension. Thanks Fishpig! November 2, 2013
Works but just basic I found the installation a bit tricky and it sure took more than 5 minutes to install. It says that you can use your own theme but I received warnings to use Twenty Twelve. Also I have Contact Form 7 installed but I keep getting the warning - "Contact Form 7 Extension required for plugin to work. Install extension." Besides this I cant seem to get anything other then the basic blog post to show up. No menus show on the blog page and the "Contact Us" link that shows up normally doesn't show. So not sure if plugins and Menu items can show. All I can get to show on the blog page is a basic blog posting. October 31, 2013
Great Extension & Great Support Extension is fabulous & very useful & support is really very good. Ben (The extension developer & supporter) is a great guy. He will always be there to help you. Thank you Ben for providing such a nice extension. October 11, 2013
fine service I tried to install it but it got errors. Ben told me that he could do it for me (reasonable price) and within 24 hours it worked like a sunshine! He even set up some plugins so it should work immediately! Pretty fast and good service! October 6, 2013
Absolute delighted with this extension! Hello I am running a multilingual store (community version) I did set up the first WordPress integration as a single store myself and following Bens excellent tutorial I had no Problems doing so. I did however had problems with the Multistore extension doing it myself, since I am relatively new to Magento as well as WordPress that came as no surprise. I opted for the installation service and Ben did a excellent job, not only did he install the integration but also put a working blog for each of the languages I am using in the store as well as fixing all .htaccess and RSS related Problems (which I caused myself) Being a professional (System Administrator) since the beginnings of computers (Yup I am a Dinosaur) myself and am used to support I can only say that he surely belongs to the pleasant experiences I had. Be well!! September 27, 2013

Answer:
Go to magento admin panel, under CATALOG > URL REWRITE MANAGEMENT, simply add custom url rewrite.

On "request path" just add a slash "/" and at "target path" add your wordpress homepage url.

Hi,

is this extension designed to use the WordPress pingback/trackback feature? We're using it and it's not working. Maybe there is a common mistake we did?

Thanks for your answer :)

Our website utilizes your extension, and after updating our magento theme, the blog still uses our old theme.

Just wondering if there is a way to update or reimport the magento theme to reflect the changes we made.

Thanks!

In wordpress you can define custom classes for each menu item, but these classes aren't passed on to the magento menu. Can you add this to the next update or how do I do so myself?

Your Overview page says:
"Use your Magento theme for your WordPress blog"

I have Wordpress and the extension installed and all appears to be working well but it's still using the default WP theme. Where do I set it to use the Magento theme? I've read through all the documentation on your fishpig site and nowhere is this feature mentioned.

Thank you.
