Is there a way to use the default magento WYSIWYG? Images don't seem to work correctly with the included WYSIWYG. June 28, 2011
DONT DO IT! Installing via Magento connect on 1.5.0.1 and it took down my SQL Server Lucky I Backed up my site, but now I have to wait for support to reset the sql server June 17, 2011
Works flawlessly on 1.5.1. Thanks guys. June 1, 2011
Well for those of you who have a custom theme placed outside the /frontend/default package (eg. /frontend/base/YOURTHEME or /frontend/YOURPACKAGE/YOURTHEME ) and you get blog blank page here are the steps: 1. Copy app/design/frontend/default/default/layout/aw_blog.xml to your theme layout folder 2. Copy app/design/frontend/default/default/template/aw_blog to your theme template folder 3. Copy skin/frontend/default/default/aw_blog to your theme skin folder 4. Flush the magento cache Enjoy! May 25, 2011
Hi there. I just installed your ext and I found that all theme, layout etc files are stored in frontend/default/default. We use our personal created package, so I think you should put the files in frontend/base/default. In this way your ext will be compatible with all custom created packages. Just a thought :) May 25, 2011
Right, does this actually work? I've installed it created posts and there not showing on the front end when i go to /blog ! The title doesn't even show May 15, 2011
Hi! I just tried this extension, i installed it using magento connect onto a 1.5.0.1 magento system. I then went thru the downloader, updated-upgraded my magento extensions that said there was an upgrade to 1.5.1 available. Then my site was 503 error and all i could access was the magento connect. I uninstalled the AW_Blog extension and my site returned to its previous state. I am highly interested in this extension, was wondering when a stable 1.5.1 version will be out. April 26, 2011
Magento 1.5.0.1 not install。 notice: Checking dependencies of packages CONNECT ERROR: Package 'AW_Blog' is invalid './skin/adminhtml/default/default/aw_all/css/window.css' already exists April 23, 2011
Great extension! Installed without any issues through the Connect Manager....http://www.themorningdewfarm.com/ One question: How would I create custom meta description for the main blog page, I see where you can edit the title tag but no description. Any help would be greatly appreciated:) April 8, 2011

Answer:
Hello!

Unfortunately, the current version of the Blog extension (1.3.1) does not allow using phrases as tags, it only supports single-word tags.
We are considering adding this feature in future updates.
If you have any other questions regarding the capabilities of the Blog extension, feel free to contact our Support service.
Thank you.

I tried the aheadWorks Blog extension and for the most part it was easy to setup and worked well. After using it for a bit I have changed my mind about having a blog built into my store. I uninstalled the plugin through the magento-connect menu, but for some reason the blog link in the top-link header remains. Why wasn't this removed along with the extension. BTW I'm using a custom theme not a default one, so I had to copy the folders and xml file into my theme folders.

Thanks

Answer:
Hello,

first of all, we would suggest that you check your header CMS block - in case you had inserted the Blog link manually, uninstalling the module would not have removed the link.
If it is not the case, then we can assume that the uninstall wasn't completely successful. Our techs could assist you with clarifying the matter, so feel free to contact our support service.
Thank you.

Answer:
Hello,

the default version of the extension does allow to show a number of posts in non-blog areas of your store, however, this functionality is limited to the latest posts only. ( a special "Latest Posts" widget is added by the extension )
If you need some section to show the manually-specified set of posts, customization will be required.
Thank you.

Answer:
Hello,

unfortunately, the default version of the Blog extension does not offer such a feature.
Although the extension does include Latest Posts widget, it is designed to be placed in the content area.
However, since the extension is open-source, you can probably add such dropdown via customization, and use the Latest Posts widget as a basis.
Thank you.
