Overview
Simple Configurable Products
This extension changes the way that the pricing of Configurable Products works in Magento.
With Simple Configurable Products, the price for configurable products is taken directly from the associated simple products rather than the configurable product itself.
This gives site owners direct control over the price of every individual configuration of a product, while still giving users the flexibility they usually get with configurable products. There's no more having to set rules such as: +20% for blue, -£10 for small, +15% for leather. You just price the underlying small-blue-leather product at £199.99 and that's what the user pays.

Hi, with magento 1.7, customs options in simple product seem cause an issue. In frontend, modification on it always update prices to zero !

I had this isntalled on 1.6.2 workign not a problem with custom stock status isntalled, had to do the followign hack 1) In app/code/community/OrganicInternet/SimpleConfigurableProducts/etc/config.xml
Remove or comment-out:

however just updated to 1.7 and reisntalled everything and now im gettign this error Cannot initialize the indexer process.
could be that i tried that paid application by this guy before i found it did not work with 1.7

This extension makes doing custom work with products really really hard. Trying to pull a list of products for example, or getting price or stock information.
As the associated products are added as configurable options they aren't actual products meaning you have to actually get the configurable options for each product to get the children.
This doesn't make any logical sense when working in the Magento code.

works great on 1.6.2 - pictures, prices, short descriptions get updated but the long-description isn't updating - maybe because of my info-tabs, but i think i will figure this out very quicky! very good extension! Thanks!!!

Great extension, however there's one strange thing going on. When a configurable product is "most sold" it never shows up in the most sold tab in the admin dashboard. Same is in frontend with most sold extensions. Why?

I'm running Magento 1.6.2 with this extension - everything seems to work properly so far, save for one thing:
When attempting to add a quantity to your cart that is greater than the amount in stock of a configurable product option (ex. adding 12 Tshirts-Blue), the customer is redirected to the child URL, which doesn't exist if you set (as I have) all simple associated products to NOT be visible in the catalog.
Anyone else have this bug?

I am having a problem that with extension and cross-sell product associated to configurable products… I have a configurable product with some simple products as associated products… in the frontend I open the configurable product and I add to cart one of the simple associated products. I have set cross-sell products for the configurable product added to cart bu the “cross-sell” section are not shown on the “Cart” page. Have you a solution for this? Thanks!
