Fooman Google Analytics +

Features

Provides additional features and advanced analytics for the default Google Analytics module:

• Generate more sales through improved conversions! Create a comprehensive sales funnel by tracking every step of the checkout process (including sections retrieved via AJAX during one-page-checkout) - pinpoint precisely where potential customers are 'dropping off' during the checkout process
• Optionally track to a secondary profile
• Optionally enter a domain name - useful if you want to combine multiple sites in a single analytics account
• First Touch tracking with thanks to Will Critchlow from www.distilled.co.uk and Ashley Schroder - read all about the technique here (no file edits needed)
• Filter your reports by customers
• Track Adwords conversions for purchases

Instructions

• Install the extension using the instructions in The Ultimate Guide to Installing Magento Extensions
• This extension is a beta release - if you choose to download it via Magento Connect Downloader, on Magento 1.5 and above you need to enable BETA in your Magento Connect Downloader Settings
• Install the latest version for Magento 1.4 and higher. For Magento 1.3.2.4 and below, use version 0.8.7
• Refer to the Fooman Google Analytics + User Manual for configuration instructions

Please note that we are unable to provide individual support for free Fooman extensions. For troubleshooting, please ensure that you follow the installation instructions in the Ultimate Guide to Installing Magento Extensions carefully, and that you are not running any conflicting extensions. This has a high success rate and usually solves 95% of issues we receive. If you require further assistance, you can purchase our installation package from the Fooman website.

Fooman Google Analytics + 5 5 47 47

Great plugin, use it mostly for adwords tracking. However, don't use it in 1.7 yet, it removes the analytics id, so no visitors will be followed. May 1, 2012

Great - Great stuff!!!! Two questions / comments 1.) Any help on other magento "goals" I could track / what URLs to put in google (like submitted a review, subscribed to newsletter) - etc. 2.) It doesn't work on 1.6.2. I also try to contact Fooman to try to underestand which is the problem on our site www.salustore.com but no way to receive any answer. Brilliant extension - But, just upgraded to 0.10.6 with mag 1.5.0.1 and the sales funnel visualisation has stopped working. Has anyone else experienced this? March 14, 2012

Is page speed sample rate configurable

I see that version 10.5 introduced page speed tracking features.

Does that include an option to increase the sample rate from the default 1% of pageviews, please?

Admin Values - Account Number

We installed this extension, leaving the top three admin values empty (as we see no reason to run two analytic profiles on the same site) - and google analytics stopped working.

What are the recommended values for:

We usually recommend that you set up a sales funnel conversion goal (further information is provided in the User Manual), which will provide a comprehensive overview of sales conversion rates during the different checkout steps of your store.
