Have tried this extension first when it became open source and it's great when it's working in your setup.
I had problems using it on multi currency where it would not work. Except that it would work nice and fast and free. But it's a free extension so there really is no support.
I ended up buying another fpc extension Brims, also here on magento connect for $150
The are some others but they charge to much. $149 is not much for the gain in speed and you will have support.
If you don't need support and if this is working for you go for it.

Don't botter installing. It's a desaster. Allthough the extension has potentional, it's hard to configure and won't work in the end. I sent the developer an e-mail and he said he would help or fix the problem. I even sent him access to the server. But every time he came back to me with a lame excuse. I spend 2 months trying to have Mr. Ezra help me out. Without luck. On my last 4-5 e-mails he didn't even reply.... Trust me: take a PAID extension. It comes at least with (better) support.

hi EZAPPS:
thanks for your cache, it is very good for speed up. but the zoom -> view page cache is 404 error, i logout and then login, still problem. other function work well. I think it may be some bug for Administrators Roles which can not get view page cache permission, but i do not know how to repair it via mysql or code. hope you help me. thank u very much.

Hi,
thanks for the wonderful extension.
The hole punching did not work for me so i can't use it on a production site.
I tested it on a server with Apache and another server with Apache and Nginx as a front end reverse proxy.
Both had serious problems with the hole punching system (top links, side bar cart and other did not refresh).
I tried the work around that was posted here (adding this to .htaccess:
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^/(.*)ezzoom/hole/fill(.*) ) but is didn't help much.
I tested it on a clean fresh install with no other modules or themes.
I must be missing something. Any help will be appreciated.
P.s. other than the hole punching problem the module is amazing. as fast as i could ever want my stores to run. it is defiantly the future of magneto and the successor of fooman's speester. Thanks again for your work.
RewriteRule .* index.php [L]

HI zoom-cache man,
I am having an issue with M CE 1.7 where i have it installed and when i go to activate it through the admin console i get a 404.
Have installed via connect - didn't work so i uninstalled, did a custom from the latest github same deal.
Is getting the 404 from section/ezzoom_general/.
Willing to make a financial contribution to the project if i can get this right and it makes a significant difference. Open Source for life!
Cheers,

Erza,
Your extension is amazing... at the moment i just tested, but the results are expressives. Tks for this excelent extension.
I´d like to ask you about a little doubt...imagine the following situation:
If we have a product with inventory quantity 1 and this product is sold... the cache will continue to serve the category and product page outdated due to now the inventory level for this product is ZERO. OK.. we need to refresh!
But, if we constantly flush the cache, periodically, ezoom will remake the cache automatically after next load of the page. But, with this approach probably we huge increment the misses hit. Do you agree?
I´d like to implement your extension with a valid cache for a week or two and only refreshing the cache for a sold or updated products. Basically we just refresh the cache when sold or updated and probably not by cron.
Ok, to refresh the cache for product and category we could use a Flushcashe(0), but, in my understanding, all products and categories will be flushed. And to use the clearCache($id) we need to know the ezoom page id... correct? How Can I get this information for a product ? And how can I do the same for category? To implement this I will create an observer class for inventory level.
Other approach could be to put filters to out of stock products at the collection to be flushed additionally to time.
Your opinion will be of a great add value. What you think about this implementation way? Maybe I´m travelling to moon.. rsrsrs? Do you consider this viable?
Best regards,
Paulo
