Category access control
Features
- Allow access to categories for selected user groups only
- Users see products and categories only if allowed
- Default category settings can be changed individually per category or for the whole store
- Built-in groups for ALL (no access control applies), NONE (no access), REGISTERED (any registered user)
It's pretty easy to configure, but if you are looking for serious access control you need to use Magento Enterprise Edition. This extension is based on the excellent work by Vinnai Kung (<a href="../../../../extension/reviews/module/635">http://www.magentocommerce.com/extension/reviews/module/635</a>). We used his code to change the functionality and simplify the interface. We actively develop and support this extension.
Access control is fully compatible with our web-to-print and dynamic imaging extension <a title="magento web-to-print" href="../../../../extension/1586">http://www.magentocommerce.com/extension/1586</a>.
Configuration
The extension has to be configured to make it functional. See our Magento web-to-print help for details. Please, report any bugs and feature requests to support@zetaprints.com. Support is limited to our web-to-print customers only.
Uninstalling instructions
You may need to run these SQL statements to completely remove the extension.
DELETE FROM `eav_attribute` WHERE attribute_code LIKE 'accesscontrol_show_group%'; DELETE FROM `core_resource` WHERE code='accesscontrol_setup';
