With Magento Color Swatch with Zoom you can enable/disable zoom from admin pages as well as customize the look and feel of products in your on-line magento store. No additional scripts or plugins are needed. This extension works with all versions of Magento and it comprises the functionalities of Color Swatch and Zoom for Magento extensions.

2010-10-13 18:41:54 Everybody wants to see how any product looks like in specific color or design or shape. Yes, with a few tricks you can make Magento to show different colors for products but that’s all. When you have specific designs (for dresses for example) it is not possible to do with standard Magento tools.
Magento Color Swatch is extension for configurable products that gives you possibility to show how your product look in different colors, shapes, designs.. It doesn't affect any standard functionality in Magento, just extend standard options.
Although Color Swatch extension works with any zoom script, neither of them are made to switch images after page loads. As we had many requests from our customers to support different zoom tools for Magento, we decided to make things easier. We developed our own Zoom that works by default with Color Swatches. Further more, you can enable/disable zoom from admin pages as well as customize look and feel. Our script is not based on jQuery or Prototype script so you don't need to install any additional scripts or plugins.FEATURES

January 29, 2013I've had this extension working for some time, however I'd love to add color swatches through the back end, but have not been able to... I have to load all color swatches through a php script, which is very cumbersome and heavy to imput everything into a spread sheet and import... The developers first appeared willing to assist, but we never connected on their time, so nothing happened. It didn't work straight out the box and we had to email the developer multiple times. Once we had it setup we found it conflicted with other extensions and it took a long time to get to the problem of the conflicts. We tried to obtain a refund but we were told this was not possible as we purchased the extension more than 10 days ago, which is not enough time to fully test an extension and get to the bottom of any problems during a large project.
