What Is an Attribute Set?
Magento Go enables you to organize attributes into attribute sets. That way, you can have different attribute sets for different product types. In fact, Magento Go requires you to define an attribute set before you can apply the attributes to your products.
Now that you understand attributes, you can define attributes. Be sure to give this part of the store setup process careful thought. You want to make sure that for each product type, you include all of the attributes that a customer might be interested in. Remember that if customers can’t easily find the products they want in your store, they will shop elsewhere. It is better to have too many attributes than too few; if you find that you need to add attributes later, you will need to assign values for those attributes for each of your products.
