Configuration: General - Contacts


The Contact Us feature gives your customers the ability to send messages directly from your web store to an assigned email address of your choosing. The Contact Us link usually appears in the footer of your store.

Setting the Configuration Scope

Before you continue, make sure to set the correct configuration scope, if necessary. The field descriptions in the tables below identify the scope level for each setting. For more information, see: Understanding Store Scope.

Contact Us

Enabling the Contact Us feature activates a footer link to the Contact Us page. The location of the link may vary by design theme.

To enable Contact Us:

  1. From the Admin panel, select System > Configuration.
  2. In the Configuration panel, under General, click Contacts.
  3. Set Enable Contact Us to Yes if you would like the contact us link to appear in the footer of your store.

Email Options

The Email Options define the recipient name and email address for messages sent through the Contact Us form.

To complete the Email Options:

  1. From the Admin panel, select System > Configuration.
  2. In the Configuration column, under Customers, click Contacts.
  3. In the Send Emails To field, enter the email address where messages will be sent when customers use the Contact Us form.
  4. In the Email Sender list, select the name to appear in the From line of messages that are sent in reply to inquiries received through the Contact Us form.
  5. In the Email Template list, select the template to be used for customer messages sent from the Contact Us form.
