Overview

Use the Frontend Properties section to configure whether the attribute is available in searches, layered navigation, product listings, and promo rule condition

To complete the Frontend Properties section:

  1. Set Use in Quick Search to Yes or No, to determine if visitors can search for products based on this attribute.
  2. Set Use in Advanced Search to Yes or No, to determine if visitors can filter Advanced Search results based on this attribute.
  3. Set Comparable on Front-End to Yes or No, to determine if visitors can compare products based on this attribute.
  4. In the Use in Layered Navigation list, specify if this attribute can be used in layered navigation and if catalog listings can be filtered by attribute.
  5. Set Use in Search Results Layered Navigation to Yes or No, to determine if this attribute displays in the layered navigation on search results pages.
  6. Set Use for Promo Rule Conditions to Yes or No, to determine if this attribute can be used in promotion rule conditions.
  7. In the Position field, type in the position relative to other attributes that have Use in Layered Navigation enabled to determine its position in the layered navigation block.
  8. Set Visible on Product View Page on Front-end to Yes or No, to determine if this attribute displays on product view pages.
  9. Set Use in Product Listing to Yes or No, to determine if this attribute is locked in the search results product list.
  10. Set Used for Sorting in Product Listing to Yes or No, to determine if visitors can sort product listings based on this attribute.
