zimmermannstore.com has been running for just over a month now. I had a hard time implementing the design and adding things like previous and next to the product page, but it all came together eventually.

I’d also like to thank Tweakmag and Fontis for their extensions - they’ve made my life much easier with implementing the solution.

Australia extension 0.6 update http://www.magentocommerce.com/group/blog/action/viewpost/372/group/159/

Hello all,

I have uploaded the latest version of my Australian extension to Magento Connect:
http://www.magentocommerce.com/extension/141/fontis-australia-extension

The biggest change is support for Paymate payments, which was requested by a few people. Currently this method uses the Paymate test account by default but this can be changed in the configuration. Also, there is a bug upon returning to the store where the customer is returned to an empty shopping cart rather than the checkout success page. I am currently working on this issue, as well as a few ways to make the store operator’s life easier. smile

I have also changed around the directory structure of the rest of the payment and shipping methods and added a few minor bug fixes and the like.

As always, feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Second release of Australia module http://www.magentocommerce.com/group/blog/action/viewpost/308/group/159/

I’ve updated the version of the Australia module, which now includes Direct Deposit and BPAY payment methods. The install process for this version is a little more involved than the last one - instructions are again included on the release page. I’m not sure if there’s a better way to handle the changes to the template files so if anyone know a better wya please let me know.

Also, I’m pretty confident Direct Deposit is done and finished (it’s pretty simple after all) but I’ve never used BPAY before so I’m not sure if there’s anything else I need to add. Currently it takes a biller code and calculates an appropriate ref code from the customer number. I used the existing osCommerce BPAY module for the development of this.

If you’d like to follow along with the development of the Australia module, I try to post updates on my personal blog regularly.

Initial Australia Post shipping module http://www.magentocommerce.com/group/blog/action/viewpost/283/group/159/

Hello everyone, from my experience with osCommerce I know that a lot (or even, the majority) of Australian Magento users are going to want a shipping module for Australia Post, so I wrote one up. It’s not 100% complete yet - for example, there’s no insurance and the code need a few improvements - but it is completely functional and seems to work for the cases I’ve tested.

The necessary files, along with installation instructions, can be found at my company’s site: http://www.fontis.com.au/magento

This is just the first part of a broader scoped module aimed at providing Australian functionality and any help from the rest of the Magento Australia group would be greatly appreciated! Even just testing the module and letting me know of any cases where it doesn’t work, or features you’d like added, would be very helpful.
