Magento Groups http://www.magentocommerce.com/group/view/130 eBay integration en Magento Community Copyright 2008 2008-09-07T11:25:01-8:00 Welcome, we are finally ready to start the discussion and development! http://www.magentocommerce.com/group/blog/action/viewpost/312/group/130/

Hellow Everyone!

Sorry that I wasn’t able to start the discussion in our group for eBay Integration with Magento.

I saw that you where all comming up with ideas about what you would like to have in the Integration module. As eBay is the largest online shopping site I find it very important to have a module that can manage the whole process, from making a eBay auction, to posting it on their website, managing live auctions, payment and order management etc etc.

If everyone can give their thoughts about the module I will make one list in which we will put all ideas so we start looking at how the module needs to be.

My company is not a PHP development company so anyone who knows a decent developper please let me know.

When version 1.0 is released we will make up the complete test website in which we can implement the integration module for eBay.

So let’s all get in touch and start our laptops for the great job ahead!

Kicking Off http://www.magentocommerce.com/group/blog/action/viewpost/232/group/130/

Folks,

Ive been watching this group for a little while and haven’t seen any sign of life :o)

So i was hoping we could kick things off a bit and start a basic descussion on how you would like to see magento integrate with ebay.

First you may want to have a look at this http://developer.ebay.com/common/api/ it will give you some basic insight into whats possible with the ebay Api.

Main Areas that we should consider are:

1) Creating listing from within Magento
a) do we do this as an option for each product
b) do it sepataratly
c) how do we handle auctions vs’ buy it now

2) Managing ebay orders
a) Do we track them using magento
b) should magento handle invoiceing and labelling etc

3) anything else thats important

4) Later we can shout out what combined skill sets do we currently have within the groups subscribers and who we may need to recruit etc :o)

Hopefully you will all take a moment to note your thoughts or even just say hello.

Warren
