Yeah, this was done. The part I am looking to accomplish is to create shared session between CakePHP and Magento. 

My thoughts at the moment are going to be starting to port it from Zend Framework to CakePHP.

I am also interested in porting to the CakePHP framework.  Sounds lie a much better (ambitious) plan than simply sticking it under vendors.

Its really great to know that now we are talking of integrating Cake Php with magento.  Can anyone please update me with the status , such as where the work has reached so far.

Actually we are also working on magento customization , and would love to propose a joint venture for working together and get some amazing results with magento. Any one interested in working with us in magento to bring out some great results in this area..?  Guys what we are waiting for, lets form a collaborative group and get things going fast right and learn from each other’s experiences.?

I have started mapping out the CakePHP port of Magento but have limited time to work on it at the moment. I am looking to tart putting a lot more time into the port soon when CakePHP 1.2 Stable is released.

As far as customizations, I have already added a registry and done several custom Magento carts for clients. What it is you need help doing?
