About this Group
There is no doubt that Magento is a great thing and it will get better with every release! The domain will always be around ecommerce and this is very good. But it often needs more to fulfill all parts of a website, like the content management or other modules like a forum, news areas, multilingual content and so on. One solution for that is TYPO3.
TYPO3 is one of the most powerful CMS on the open source market and out of this reason it would be very good to connect those two to be able to get the best parts from TYPO3 and Magento.
My goals sound quite simple:
* Create an API to be able to use the services of Magento on a TYPO3 website to
- Show products with the related categories, images,...
- Show the categories of Magento
- be able to get e.g. the latest 10 products of Magento, or the bestsellers or another one of those typical views
* Create an API to be able to modify, update, delete products, categories and so on through the admin area of TYPO3
* Single Sign On for the admins and the customers
