As this beautiful piece of software seems destined to greet the markets at the end of March 2008 there is certainly a lot of excitement.
However all developers face a stark new reality of imperative accessible design and development. With section 508 in the US and similar legislation in other developed countries as well as the WCAG for international sites; Magento certainly has to take all the guidelines into the actual structure of the build.
This group's purpose therefore is to identify any weaknesses vis a vis accessibility that Magento may have at its core.
