The QuickBooks Sync group's primary focus is on developing a module that lets the Magento interface synchronize data with the QuickBooks accounting application.

The goal of this project is to develop this synchronization functionality through the help and experience of the community. We expect to be able synchronize data (such as products, customers, order histories, inventory and pricing, price rules, and more) between the two systems in both directions. This means having the ability to send data from QuickBooks to Magento as well as sending data from Magento to QuickBooks. We hope to provide both a manual and an automated synchronization method, allowing tight integration between the two systems and their associated data via this QuickBooks Sync module.

We are currently seeking experienced community members for use of their valuable skills in this community project. If you have had experiene interfacing with QuickBooks in another project, or even if you haven't, there's a use for everyone. So get involved!

First there will be a discovery of what necessary standards must be considered, what the pros and cons of each methodology are (both manual and automated) and determine which members of the group can provide various solutions, and assign them roles accordingly. Roles may include programmers, designers, idea developers, problem solvers, decision makers and other roles will be added as they are deemed necessary.
