About this Group
For all well intended amateurs, that would like to learn much more about Magento, and learn from the ground upwards, from the most basic and eventually to becoming proficient enough to contribute to the development of Magento. Even if it is only the occasional visit from someone who knows of basic books to purchase, sites to visit, links to essential information that can help anyone just starting off wanting to learn about the languages that Magento uses etc, all contributions will help and further the 'little acorns' quest to develop into 'trees'. I have found that 10 mins of someones time who knows what they are doing is worth hours fumbling around the net taking a pot shot - anyone who can contribute with advice and point an 'acorn' in the right direction is what this group is about. Personally I have been trying to find a good book on PHP with a really basic and fundamental approach to learning it - but don't really want to keep shelling out for them only to find that they are either too advance or not of any great use. All recommendations will be greatfully received and many thanks in advance for any assistance anyone gives.
