I would be MOST excited about something like this for Dreamweaver. I think most who use Dreamweaver do so because of it’s advanced WYSIWYG user interface - so in developing a Magento Theme extension for Dreamweaver, it would be fantastic if the WYSIWYG aspect could be kept in mind.
What kind of elements are necessary for development of such an extension?

This is a very interesting idea we have thought of ourselves also and even looked into
but we don’t have the time currently to develop such an extension
