South African Payment Gateway Integrations
Our sites currently use MyGate, and before I move across to Magento or develop any new sites in Magento I will need to get this module created. I have e-mailed the MyGate team and asked them if they had any plans to develop or sponsor the creation of this module. I suggest you do the same with your payment gateways - the more they hear about Magento, the more likely they are to get involved. The least they can do is provide a small amount of funding to someone who is willing to do the development.
If you have made progress with a South African payment gateway, please leave a comment here and perhaps others can help out with testing or finishing touches.

I purchased a payment gateway for osCommerce to accept ct cards through Netcash. It seems to work quite well. I am no programmer but I am willing to make the code available should someone want to develop a Netcash Payment Gateway for Magento. Im not even sure if it will help.

I got hold of my gate, asked him why there is no magento plugin. they said they are working on it, but resource allocation is a problem. He did send me PHP code of there example gate, so basically i must figure out how to integrate this onto magento. I will look in about 2 weeks when i can put my mind to it fully. however i am asking around this forum. maybe some guy will offer to do this for me, i don’t mind paying a bit to get this done. Magento is far better than oscommerce, zencart, ect.

@g450. I’ve sent you the contact details of someone who is working on a MyGate module. I’m sure we will have something to release to the community soon!
Anyone else reading this - please continue to bug MyGate about a Magento module (http://www.mygate.co.za). The more they hear about Magento, the more incentive they will have to get behind the development.

I need to do VCS integration. Has anyone done this, or am I breaking new ground here?

Andrew,
Excellent! And thank you for the pointer. I’ve followed up and will post my experiences back. In the meanwhile I’ll start tinkering as well…

Hey guys!
I’m super impressed that there is a South African group for Magento. It’s such an awesome e-commerce package to use! I’ve also bugged MyGate for a payment module. Let’s hope they come to light soon!
Andrew, g450, have you guys had any luck yet?
Blessings,
Karen

Good morning all,
I trust that you are well,
My name is Glen Ross and I work for MyGate. We at MyGate realize that there is a growing requirement for a Payment Gateway to integrate into Magento.
For me to take this request to the integration department, would it be possible for you to give me an indication in terms of number of clients who require this integration?
I look forward to your replies and hope that we can be of service to you in the future
Regards
Glen

Hi Guys,
My VCS integration is done! Yeah!
I’ll try and package it as a Magento Conenct package.
Glen, I think I have this thing sorted now. If you can provide me with the implementation docs and a test account, I’m pretty sure I can adapt the VCS module.
