I’m often using http://www.tophost.it (one of the best cheap hosting in italy partner of wordpress Italia, but not offer SSL service) and http://www.siteground.com (usa and very famous for opensource with option of SSL)

wow, good list!
http://www.tophost.it is not good for magento and also http://www.siteground.com need installation of a script at price of 49$ to go with magento

which of these options offer an inexpensive plan that covers magento’s requirements? I have 1and1 and you need to order a dedicated server for it to work.. and I’m just creating a new store where this would be overkill at the beginning.
