What australian payment gateways do you think magento should have? I think it would be good if we could help out magento in developing some payment modules.

I believe the following should make the list Paymate(http://www.paymate.com.au) is one definite. It is growing fast in Australia. eway is another one.

I know I am not an Australian, but in NZ here it is common to use bank transfer. Any chance of integrating this?

Bank transfer is really just a manual payment option. I am a kiwi as well (living in aussie for the last couple of years). We have bpay here as a method of paying from bank account. I might have a chat to DPS in NZ and see if they have anything.

has anyone tried integrating a local (aus) payment gateway yet, i.e. eway or net registry?
or are users waiting for the full version before integrating a custom payment module
i’d love to know how you found the process, as i’ll be looking at integrating one of the 2 gateways next month

Hi there, now that v1 has been released I will be working on gateways for Aus/NZ - I will probably look at eway for starters.

Hey Ajazza. If you need any help testing then we can spare some time for you.
From our past experience with CRE and osCommerce PayPal, Paymate and Bank Transfer were most requested, mainly due to nil or very low operating costs.

Anyone looked at e-path? Or does anyone know of a similar manual gateway that is already functioning with Magento?
