This could have been a great extention, if it wasn't that it's broken - at least as of 0.1.2beta and Magento 1.1.8 and I merely review here in hope of getting the developers attention. Please see this bug: http://www.magentocommerce.com/boards/viewthread/24780/ This functionality really should have been in Magento core itself, as this is something you normally can do with any decent eCommerse app so kudos to the developer taking up on this task.

Thank you for the uninstall instructions! Was so worried because this did break my site :) Will come back to this module for sure, but for now I have no need for this Thank you once again for your great work, you rock!

I have a problem with this extension: When I slelect Advanced search and select any condition as a result I have this: Fatal error: Class 'Mage_CatalogSearch_Model_Mysql4_Search_Advanced_Collection' not found in /www/blutech_www/www/dylatacja_sklep/app/code/community/Netzarbeiter/GroupsCatalog/Model/Resource/Mysql4/Search/Advanced/Collection.php on line 47 How to fix it ?

@haxgres: this is a bug. I'll PM you with a fixed version of the file. A new release coming shortly will address this issue.
