This is a great theme to use for wire-framing or as a base for developing a custom theme! It looks like a lot of work has gone in to slimming down the HTML and CSS, which makes it much easier to work with compared to the default theme. I particularly appreciate the well structured and commented CSS. The only things I would want different at this stage is for the 'callouts' to be taken out (and removal of associated media images), and for this theme to be included in the main Magento download (I would even like it to be the 'default'). 5 stars from me!

Very helpful - my first Magento theme has been made much easier by adding stuff back into the stylesheets rather than trying to figure out what to remove...

I've tried to install the theme using Magento connect manager but it displayed the following message in the auto scroll content... Ignoring installed package magento-core/Interface_Frontend_Default_Blank Nothing to install How can i install the magento blank theme anyways?

I tried installing it but I just get this: magento-core/Interface_Frontend_Default_Blank requires package "magento-core/Mage_Core_Modules" (version >= 1.1.5, version <= 1.2, excluded versions: 1.2), installed version is 1.1.3 Install Errors No valid packages found PEAR ERROR: install failed
