With PayPal Website Payments Pro (Payflow Edition) - Direct Payments turned on there is a bug preventing payments being processed in 1.4. I am based in the UK and trying to use Maestro payments to test it using a Maestro card which works on other sites.

The error messages shown to the customers are

1.3.2.3 - "Field format error: 12000-Transaction is not compliant due to missing or invalid 3D-secure authentication values "

1.4.0.0 - "PayPal geteway rejected request. Field format error: 10713-There's an error with this transaction. Please enter a country in the billing address."

To echo this exact same issue, a perfectly working 1.3.x setup has failed at 1.4 with same 'enter a country' error with Paypal UK. This is consistent and we've had to disbable this as a payment method]]> #5 / Comment by sliilvia

I am having the same issue too, the country code (ID) is not being passed to Paypal when using Payflow Pro UK. I have spoken to Paypal and they looked at their log transactions and they confirm that Magento is not passing the Country ID in it's request. This is in 1.4.

It is urgent this is fixed, is their a workaround or temporary solution to this issue as it is greatly affecting our business?
