The asynchronous google analytics code has this line lacking: "var _gaq = _gaq || [];" .
It throws an js error stating that _gaq is not defined.

It's easy to fix.
Edit app/code/core/Mage/GoogleAnalytics/Block/Ga.php and add "var _gaq = _gaq || [];" on line 180.

seems to have got rid of the error for me. Lets hope google starts to track my site visits correctly now. It currently says i get from 0 to 2 visits per day and they are only from mobile phones and macintosh operating systems for some reason. where as my magento products view page tells a different story]]>
