View Issue #10399 / Admin Attribute Label/Title Shows in Front-end Sto

Posted: 2009-01-26 12:44:44
Category: Product
Version: 1.2.0.3
Priority: high
Status: closed
Reported By: J.T.

Latest version 1.2.0.3 upgrade path always with diff files.

I just added attribute "sku_for_search":

Scope: Store View
Catalog Input: Text Field
Default: Empty
Unique: Yes
Required: Yes
Validation: None
Applies: All

Quick Search: Yes
Adv. Search: Yes
Comparable: No
Layered: No
Position: 0
Visible: Yes

Under manage label/options, I get admin and then my 6 store views, one of which I'm testing with.

Admin Title/Label: SKU / Code (All applicable)
Store View 1: SKU / Code
Store View 2: SKU / Code
Store View 3: SKU / Code
etc.

I now click Advanced Search in footer (default template) of Store View 1 and see indeed "SKU / Code" and a field to search for. Enter one it can NOT find and the error shows:

No items were found using the following search criteria. Modify your search
SKU / Code (All applicable ones): SKU123NONEXISTANT

Note it shows the admin label/title and not the store view label/title.

Now search for one that DOES exist and I get the result but above it, it says:

SKU / Code (All applicable ones): SKU321DOESEXIST
Don't see what you're looking for? Modify your search

Again, showing the admin label instead of the correct store view label.

I tried to reproduce this on the Magento Admin Demo, added the attribute but can not access the front end.
