This issue is a duplicate of #9872 (as well as #9970, #9982, #9946, #10059, #10096, #10233, #10260) - http://www.magentocommerce.com/bug-tracking/issue?issue=4662

#9872 is resolved and fixes are to be available in the next bugfix release (1.2.1).
