Calling the searchbyId($elementId) on Varien_Data_Form_Element_Collection object throw a fatal error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function getId() on a non-object in lib/Varien/Data/Form/Element/Collection.php

I've patched the class (see attachment) to solve the problem.
