View Issue #7388 / Undefined index error in date.php (as reported in

Posted: 2008-09-25 15:52:46
Category: Product
Version: 1.1.6
Priority: high
Status: closed
Reported By: turbo1

It looks like this was reported in Bug 6230 but the author didn't post instructions on how to reproduce.

This is the exact error: Notice: Undefined index: year in libZendDate.php on line 2614

It occurs when you do this:

Add a new product
Add a special price
you can either set a date or not set a date
Save the product
Now go back in and edit something else and re-save
The error pops up

Once the error happens, you can go back into the "price" tab and see that the date format is all screwed up. For example, I enter valid dates of 9/22/08 to 10/22/08 and it now says 9//08 to 10//08. The "day" field is missing!

Thank you for reporting!

I tried to execute your scenario on our latest build under WinXP/MSIE 7.1 and everything works fine - no errors.

Could you, please provide information on your server and client configuration?

#2 / Comment by turbo1

Hi,
You're right - I tried it on our Staging server and it does not happen. Here are our specs:

The DEV server (where the problem occurs with any client OS/browser):

Xampp 1.6.7
# Apache HTTPD 2.2.9 + Openssl 0.9.8h
# MySQL 5.0.51b
# PHP 5.2.6
# PHP 4.4.8
# phpMyAdmin 2.11.7

The Staging server (where the problem does NOT occur with any client OS/browser):

Linux 2.6.18-92.el5
MySQL 5.0.51a-community
Apache/2.0.63 (Unix)
PHP Version: 5.2.5 (Zend: 2.2.0)

I hope this information helps!
