View Issue #6837 / Credit memo emails calculate totals incorrectly

Posted: 2008-09-04 04:58:02
Category: Orders
Version: 1.1.3
Priority: normal
Status: closed
Reported By: PJ

I don't know if anybody has noticed but the emails sent out for credit memos calculate incorrect values (at least as of 1.1.3) the backend shows the correct values with various adjustments but emails are way off. In fact the math the show makes no sense and the emails leave off pertinent information that a consumer would like to know about their refunds (adjustment for one). I have attached an email and I am going to open a bug report but if anybody has come across this strange problem let me know.

In the attached file clearly shows a subtotal of 90 (the price of the bottle, no tax correct, missing adjustments there was 5 in the test, a shipping and handling charge return of 14). The backend clearly gets it right at 99 dollars. But, the email was calculated at 111.43 how did it get this value not even close? A second example is even stranger, it seems to multiple the subtotal (already the calculated value for all the returns) by the number of returned items (thus tripling the value) I don't the number makes no sense. I have attached an image of how the back correctly calculates the desired creditmemo for image 2.
