I have 1 website, 2 stores everything is going really well and I’m almost done with my first Magento set-up only I can’t get the home pages of each to use their respective templates, the second store keeps using the default one.
1. Go to Admin > System > Configuration > Design > Themes
2. In the top left corner store switcher select your Military store
3. In Themes > Default enter “military”
4. Click Save
Sounds like you edited the “default” theme, this is not best, because next update will overwrite your files.
Create a new folder in app/design/frontend/default/ and skin/frontend/default/ for all of your themes.
Ok, I definitely have that set-up and I created a ‘new1.phtml’ in the default/military/template/catalog/product/ directory just to test that is pulling from that directory (and it is as it is displying the correct heading) but it is pulling the new products from the Wheels category list, not the military list despite the fact that I have ‘new’ products marked in Military categories.
