how to keep magento folder but access via domain.com

hello,

for SEO purpose i want to keep magento at “magento” folder in public_html/magento and access it via url: domain.com

how to achieve that?

You can setup an apache rewrite rule on the server to rewrite http://mydomain.com/[anything other than magento]/… to http://mydomain.com/magent/… or, if you don’t mind people seeing the word magento after coming to the head of your site, you can just setup a .foward in the root to /magento/

i saw some magento sites the author can keep their magento folder and access it via 2 ways. url.com and url.com/magento

is there anyway to redirect without seeing the word magento after coming to the head of my site?
