Is it possible to change the home page, product page and product listing page to a new layout and style but retain the default magento styling on pages like shopping cart, checkout, customer account etc.
Obviously the header and footer would change across the store but I’d like to reuse the default content styling on these pages

I don’t want to end up redesigning every single page so is this possible.

Hello there,

As explained in the Magento Designer Guide, the themes are owned with a hierarchy.

It means that you can create a new theme with only the files you want to edit.
When Magento loads your custom theme, it will look for everything missing file in the default template.

So, go ahead smile
