Hello,
First, I apologize if this is an easily found question, but my boss is riding me and I couldn’t locate the answer while browsing the feature set…
I am a current ShopSite pro user and I am working on a fairly large site with thousands of products with two different markets. One would be for end-users and the other would be for contractors. We want the ability to have dynamic pricing based upon who the customer is. Ideally we would show list price first or maybe not even show the price at all, then have the customer register and login and then see the standard price. However we also want to have the user optionally apply to become a contractor. If we accept them we would give them an even better pricing and based upon their sales we wouldn’t mind the ability to have two to three different levels of contractor pricing.
This is not something that Shopsite can really support because of the way it is built. In fact their suggestion is to have two different stores for each customer group (end-user and contractor) and then assign coupons to those groups. Well I suppose that isn’t the end of the world, but we feel it to be really important for the customer to be able to see their price before they go through the hassle of adding the product to their cart and then applying a coupon code…
With that said, is this something your Magento can support?
Much Thanks!
