HI,
i have a very big problem and i do not know how to fix.
So my Download Connect Manager only download the extension but do not install the extension and i have no idea why ?
Do you know this bug ?
I hope someone could help me.

try your luck by deleting pear.ini file from /downloader/pearlib/ folder.

same problem here after upgrading to magento 1.4.2
deleting the pear.ini didn’t help.
