It could be really nice to have a *My Posts* button in the Forum
beside the *Latest Posts* and the *UnAnswered Threads*.
And much better could be to have right there
a *Time Machine* button ,
allowing users to select the interval of time of the other buttons’ search,
like, for ex.:
- From the last visit
- Last 10/30/50/100 posts
- Last 24 hours
- Last 3 days
- Last Week
- Last Month
- ALL
Also something more specific, like: *My Own THREADs*, *My Own POSTs*, etc.
This should be a breeze for Magento’s coders :
simple database filters by ‘time created’, and similar.
Same thing would be really convenient in one’s *My Account* section,
especially the facility to list & follow one’s *Own Posts*,
which now is badly missing.
There also a *Time Machine* could be extremely useful and handy,
especially while searching one’s *Subscriptions*
that, after sometimes, become really a MESS.
This will speed up considerably everybody’s searching work.
I was thinking the same thing. I see myself using this forum quite a bit in the coming months, and tracking topics I’ve commented on could be a lot easier.
But if it’s a choice of working on the forum or magento, my vote is for magento!
I think mds means that he’d like the Varien team to make the changes you suggested; but he’d rather they spent their time getting Magento ready than adjusting the forum.

Hope that helps!
Hi Maff !
Yes, thank you: now I got it.
This is simple stuff for the MAGentle men/ladies
to arrange few database filters for the forum…
tsk, tsk: nothing for them .
Of course, the priority IS Magento,
but the forum is there to help to develop Magento, only !
And making its use easier facilitates all the developers
in their handling and solving Magento users’ problems, is it not?
If it’s easy to use, they will… use it;
if it is not, they will… not use, or, at least,
much less and un-willingly, too.
This also helps to take away a lot of burden
from the shoulders of the main team,
because by having an efficient and easy-to-use forum,
many more *advanced* users can help
many more *beginner* users,
which brings relief to the Magento hard-core-coders
and gives them more time for higher & nobler causes…
