Hi,

Whatever I configure as default tax class in “System > Configuration > Catalog”, it is not used when I create a new product (the dropdown list stay on the first element because there is no “selected” in HTML).

Somebody can confirm before I declare it in bug tracking ?

yep, its always stays at first element which is “default” but that is maybe ok… ‘cos u set what is default in “System > Configuration > Catalog” and when u change it there, it changes for all products no need to edit them… if it works this way it not a bug…

The “default” tax class is just a name, it’s a tax class like another. If I create a new tax class called “myDefaultTaxClass” and I set it as default in “System > Configuration > Catalog” :
- new product have “default” as tax class (1st element) so I have to set it manually
- old products with “default” as tax class keep it
