Magento

I want to have a table or something displayed on my main configurable product page that shows all the available colors a product comes in.  I need them to identify themselves in some way as well.  A simple alternate text tag with a mouse hover over works, but I’m not sure how to do this with magneto.  I tried to add a table in the description box using the WYSIWYG editor, but it really screws up the page formatting.  I see in the “Customer Showcase” that a custom Tee shirt shop (we are one too) is using this feature or something similar.  Could anyone perhaps help me to get this enabled on our site?  Thank you in advance.
