Hi all,

I’m in a serious jam. My host, StartLogic.com will not add the additional PHP_PDO_MYSQL extension. Nor do they support CGI binaries.

Is there any work around to this problem, or should I switch hosts?

I’d suggest changing hosts to be honest.  If they won’t add the MYSQL extension, that’s the end of it, unless you’d consider upgrading to a service with them that would allow you to do it yourself (if you feel inclined to do that!).  And I’m probably being a bit slow but can you confirm what you mean - they don’t support CGI files?

Regardless - if your host can’t give you what you need, then you shouldn’t be with them.  They’re supposed to be doing you a service, after all.
