Hi I’m very new to magento but have been thrown in the deep end

I’m trying to figure out how we can secure the purchase order option to only be available to users who belong to a particular group, say for instance a corporate clients group, so general website users will only get Credit Card options.

So user A who belongs to to the corporate customer group is able to order with the purchase order option

and User B who is just a general web store browser does not have the purchase order option and can only pay by credit card.

Does that make sense?

That makes very much sense to me. I have corporate customers who are obliged to use purchase orders. I will need to enable that option by customer and set a credit line per customer. Haven’t yet looked into how to do that, though.

Could someone from Magento give some feedback on this as i am approaching a deadline with the client without a solution.

I’ve come up with a work around for this.  It’s dodgy but it works.  Set the purchase order to only be available for one obscure country, then all of the customers who you want to be able to use Purchase Orders change their billing country to the one you set the purchase order to.

As I said - dodgy - but it works.

Has this changed in more recent versions, or must be still use this dodgy method?
