I think you\’re looking in the wrong place, it\’s:

app/design/adminhtml/default/default/template/paypal/system/config/fieldset/global.phtml

Does anyone know how to fix the issue where new customers who register upon checkout and use Paypal Express do not get an account created (they get the NOT LOGGED IN customer group status)?

I have version 1.4.2 and following this solution fixed the problem. Maybe you should try after applying that solution to go to paypal configuration and
1) empty all fields,
2) save configuration
3) refresh cache
4) fill in your paypal email address in paypal configuration
5) save configuration
6) fill the rest paypal configuration fields
7) save configuration
8) refresh cache
That\’s what I did exactly and it worked.

Now, can you explain WHY all that worked?  It doesnt make sense to me, all that does is add a new entries in core_config_data table

Anyone have an idea where PayPal Express Checkout option has gone on 1.4.0.1? There only seems to be one for the “Payments Pro” version under Payment Methods.  However, I don’t have Payments Pro version of Paypal.

Any ideas please?

also show error “PayPal geteway rejected request. User authentication failed!” on magento 1.4.0.1,any help?
