Hi!
After testing 1.4RC1 - which worked like a charm calculating tax as is
required in my country (Germany) - I upgraded to 1.4 final today.

Now everything is even worse than before.

Example:

- All prices are entered without tax in the backend.
- Every option to show prices only with included tax is set
- Tax for this example is 7% (reduced tax rate for food articles)
- Product has a net price of 36,81 EUR
- In list view my shop displays a total price of 39,39 EUR which is as expected (1,19 * 36,81 EUR = 39,3867 EUR)
- In shopping cart it says:
- Single price: 36,84 EUR (totally obscure, this is net price + 0,07% instead of 7%)
- Tax: 0,03 EUR (Should be 2,58 EUR)
- Grand total: 36,84 EUR (obviously wrong, should be 39,39 EUR)

I suspect all taxes being calculated wrong (inshopping cart), as magento seems to use 0,07% instead of 7% when in shopping cart mode.

Same holds true for any product, no matter if 7% tax or 19% tax which are common in germany.

Even switched back to the original magento template to rule out any problems in my customized design but the problem still remains.

These problems do not arise in list or single view of any product.

P.S.: Ran the DB-Repair Tool over my DB as suggested by Varien, nothing changed

I encountered exactly the same issue! I solved it by commenting line #314 of /app/code/core/Mage/Tax/Model/Sales/Total/Quote/Tax.php

Replace:
$rate = $rate/100;

With:
//$rate = $rate/100;

A very sloppy bug!

Indeed a very simple fix for a very annoying bug. Can’t understand that this kind of bugs can slip through… Or is it just me?

Any body who has that problem might want to look also in line 442 and do the same !

Do they really cut the tax from the shopping cart amount? I mean is the shopping cart amount inclusive of tax?

I try to belt her in. I kept her infant car seat which she has outgrown height wise and just put her in that to go places where she can’t use a shopping cart or a high chair.
