Is your Magento Connect set to only look for Stable releases? Most locales are still classed as Beta.

Thanks, I’ve selected your suggestion as the default now.

That must be a new addition to the locale wink

Hi,

Thanks for the great work on the translation. I’ve noticed a problem though.
I did a manual install and copied the whole GB directory across. The problem is that now my sales order emails sent to customers do not show the item detail table. If I copy back the US locale all is well again.
There must be some changes to the email html in the US locale which haven’t been applied to the GB one?
This is with Magento 1.1.4

Try installing as an extension?

Yep, that did it!

The download includes all the email html code too which was causing me the problem. Connect just installs the csv files.

Thanks

Hmm I’m very confused. Do I use Magento connect to get this locale or download the zip?

Also, will this replace the States drop down menu with English Counties?

Hi all,

I get the following errors when trying to install:

Failed to download magento-community/Locale_Mage_community_en_GB within preferred state “stable”, latest release is version 1.0.19870.4.9, stability “beta”, use “channel://connect.magentocommerce.com/community/Locale_Mage_community_en_GB-1.0.19870.4.9” to install
Cannot initialize ‘channel://connect.magentocommerce.com/community/Locale_Mage_community_en_GB’, invalid or missing package file
Install Errors
Package “channel://connect.magentocommerce.com/community/Locale_Mage_community_en_GB” is not valid
PEAR ERROR: install failed

And when connect is set to Beta

get this error:

Invalid package identifier provided: Failed to download magento-community/Locale_Mage_community_en_GB within preferred state “stable”, latest release is version 1.0.19870.4.9, stability “beta”, use “channel://connect.magentocommerce.com/community/Locale_Mage_community_en_GB-1.0.19870.4.9” to install

Anyone got any ideas?

Ta

Hi rish1231,

I got this error as well. It is because the Magento Connect has got “Stable” as the preferred version for its installs, and the extension you are installing is in Beta.

This can be fixed by clicking on the Settings tab of Magento Connect and changing the preferred stability to Beta.

version 1.0.19870.4.10 seems to have a problem (can other people confirm), so don’t install/upgrade to it. install magento-community/Locale_Mage_community_en_GB-1.0.19870.4.9 if you need something that works until someone sorts the problem out. Just make sure to correct the ‘Deilver’ typo on the checkout page!

Yeah, I’ve noticed this. Each file only has 1 line in?

Also, on the languages page, the translation went down to 0.00%. Version 1.1 is still 100%, but the 1.2 isn’t. Surely it doesn’t need starting from scratch?!

Should be fixed now, including the typo.

err I think i am being daft here…

I installed magento and set the language in system > configuration > general

I then realised that I needed to change check to cheque and found this language pack

I installed it and I noticed that some things were no “English” ie shipping now referred to delivery, however, check was still check and not cheque.

am I doing something stupid?

also I want to change Paypal Standard on the checkout page to read Credit Cards via Paypal (or something like that)

any ideas?

grr

looks like both the above questions are handled on the Payment Methods page.. you can call them what you like using the Title Box (as my darling partner found out by her self.... the shame )
