I’ve been working with Magento since the early early preview release. Fell in love with it, and convinced one of my clients to completely switch over from their asp-driven site to the Magento Platform.  It’s been alot of work but nevertheless VERY fun, and I wanted to showoff the site to the community to keep everyone inspired as to what can be achieved with Magento. I’ve seen some great sites and I’m glad that Magento is picking up steam!

Here’s my store:

It’s not completely polished yet, but is a good starting point.  I Must say, I’m a magento fanatic. Keep up the good work guys (and gals)

Go Go MAGENTO!

Feel free to post your feedback, I’m a click away wink

@everyone…
Thanks for the comments. Much obliged to the magento team for making the frontend so flexible.  Look forward to more additions.

@alanin..
I didn’t do anything in particular, thats just the speed of Magento!  I know the team has been making improvements with each release to see that it runs quickly.  I’m very happy with it, especially since we only use one Hi-res image for each product. Its then sized down, rather than creating a small_image, thumbnail and large image.  Cache is enabled, and I’ve made sure the server is up to speed but other than that, nothing special.  Thats just Magento!

Does everyone recommend using a dedicated server for Magento? What companies should I be looking at?

Hi NickL:
Just 1 question if you don’t care, I’m akking and looking all around about how to get and put the images in the product to see theme in the frontend.
I just try to put one in \rincon-gourmet\media\catalog\product\cache\1\small_image\135x135\images\catalog\product\placeholder and I see the same pic in all my products, I’m not a programer but like to have a shop in internet, will you please explant to me how to put the pics?
Thank s lot

@Vinos Y Cosas..

Usually to add a product and it’s picture, you need to do it via the Magento Admin, have you created an entry for this product?

Catalog > Manage Products > Add Product ?

Within the new product screen there is a place on the left side where you can upload your image.

Is this what you mean?  I’m sorry it’s a bit hard me to follow..

Yes, is what I do but not images in the frontend, normaly I create the product, price, Image, invenroty & category, then save it.
Going to the frontend I see the product, description but not image.
I’m going crazy!!!
