I did a fresh installation of magento, the Downloader version,

The installation went well. Im not sure what the difference is between the regular install and the downloader version? But when I try to install the Ideal module, it gives me the following error.

Failed to download magento-core/Mage_Ideal within preferred state “stable”, latest release is version 1.0.19702, stability “beta”, use “channel://connect.magentocommerce.com/core/Mage_Ideal-1.0.19702” to install
Cannot initialize ‘channel://connect.magentocommerce.com/core/Mage_Ideal’, invalid or missing package file
Install Errors
Package “channel://connect.magentocommerce.com/core/Mage_Ideal” is not valid
PEAR ERROR: install failed

Hi

The problem is that you can’t install “beta” extension while your preferred parameter is set to “stable”.
For installing beta extension you need to downgrade your preferred parameter to “beta”.
