Catalogue Price Rule - Not discounting configurable products correctly

Hi,

We have a site selling shirts and use configurable products for this.

We have one configurable product and then multiple simple products for each size option.

Above a certain size we increase the price of this shirts.

As an example, our configurable product has a base price of £10 and our price breaks are as follows:

1 - Small - £0 (Total £10)
2 - Medium - £0 (Total £10)
3 - Large - £5 (Total £15)

All of the above works correctly until we apply a catalogue price rule.

When we apply a catalogue price rule only the configurable product price gets discounted and the pricing increment doesn’t

To give another example, with 10% discount the price become as follows:

1 - Small - £10 minus 10% = £9
2 - Medium - £10 minus 10% = £9
3 - Large - £10 minus 10% = £9....... plus £5 giving a total of £14.

Example 3 should actually be - (£10 + £5) minus 10% = £13.50

Is this a known but and does anyone know of a workaround?

Thanks,
Andy

Hi,

I’ve got the exact same problem.
There’s an extension which might fix that, though I didn’t try it yet:
