It is currently:
http://www.mysite.com/my-product-link.htm

It needs to be:
http://www.mysite.com/my product link.htm

Any one know how to change this?

Thanks

Spaces are not supported in URLS.
While they sometimes occur, the results can be very mixed.
See: http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en-GB&q;=spaces+in+urls&sourceid;=navclient-ff&rlz;=1B3GGGL_enAU359AU285&ie;=UTF-8

What would you recommend?

I am moving a site that currently has spaces in the urls.

The old site was not Magento just htm.

I made the new site in Magento and I need the urls to match so that the pages keep the page rank that they have.

Some of the pages have been up for over 5 years, and I don’t want to lost the page rank they have because of the different urls.

I’m really not the best person to ask about that… All I really know is that spaces in URLS are frowned on, and for compatibility have to be escaped to ‘%20’ which just looks ugly and makes the url hard to read.

There are SEO people here who have far greater knowledge about such things, but I wonder if your SE rankings are already compromised because of the spaces?
maybe you won’t loose much by changing?

But I’ll bail here and see if someone else can contribute. wink
