Hi,

Is it possible to include a link in the footer that allows mobile users to switch between the normal site and the iPhone theme for mobile?

You then have the choice of viewing the site as normal in Safari as well as the optimised version. You see this link a lot, even Google allows you to switch between Mobile and Classic views…

Anyone managed this?

Thanks

im very new to magento but i found a quick fix

i changed the template of the German site to the iphone, and re-named it Mobile under the store management section

http://www.skinit.co.uk

now all i need to do is change the word language to site or something,

this may help some of you but i noticed a change in the url when switching from site to site

from default to mobile
/index.php/?___store=mobile&___from_store=default

from mobile to default
/index.php/?___store=default&___from_store=mobile

like i said im new if i just completely done this the wrong way i am sorry “,

also any heads up on how to change the word language on the website and iphone theme it be much appreciated

ok i done some looking around and i found this

You may need to quickly change some text in your Magento store. You don’t want to edit your .csv files and waste time trying to find the correct text line in those files. Now you’ll see what could be done…

1. Enter your Magento admin panel
2. Then go to “System”
3. Select “Cache Management”
4. Disable cache for “Translations”
5. Then go to the “System > Configuration > Developer” page
6. Expand the “Translate Inline” tab and enable it
7. Save the changes

Now you can see that some text blocks are in red boxes so that you can edit them. You can change text in the admin panel and at the front end.
NOTE: the change won’t affect .csv files; it’ll be saved in your database
